Restaurant Din Tai Fung @ The Gardens
Thursday, September 17th, 2009Alright, here’s the question. How often do you actually eat Chinese food with your boyfriend or maybe friends? I’ve learned something new today from the hong kong drama, “You’re Hired” which is starring by Wong Chi Wah and Charmaine Sheh. In the drama, Charmaine stated that people who is in a relationship will normally go for lunch or dinner at cafe, western restaurant or maybe Japan restaurant instead of Chinese Restaurant. Why? Because it is not romantic. Haha..true? For me it’s not true laa, although i’ve always showed sushi, sushi, sushi and sushi in my blog. HAHAHAHA~
I actually very like Chinese food, especially dim sum. And oh..my daddy’s cooking. Huhu~~ My daddy is a very capable person, he can cook, and doing his very own business. Fuiyoh..alright, cut the craps. I eventually will write a post about my father birthday on the next update. So save it for next time. =)
me and my boy of the day. =D
So, here is the Restaurant Din Tai Fung that my boy and i went the other day. It is located at lower ground floor of The Gardens. We’ve considered for a long long time of what and where to eat. Something that not very expensive and full. Hmm.. finally walked in to this restaurant.
When i went to this Restaurant Din Tai Fung, i dont have any good impression on them. Because i never heard bout it before at all. Haha~ and I thought that eating Chinese food is more likely to be in Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao or Dragon-i. I’ve tried both of it. Very nice AND kinda expensive. But this restaurant that i gonna introduce is kinda affordable laa..
Here’s is the legendary xiao long bao (small dumpling). This two set of dumpling comes together in the combo set which cost RM 20.80. One is the xiao long bao with meat inside. Another one is with crab inside. No doubt, it is very delicious. The out layer is not too thick, not too thin and the juice inside it definitely wont leak out no matter how many times you fail to pick it up with your chopstick. =P
This is xiao cai. All kind of vege mixed together. Im not sure what vege lah, but the taste is still ok. It is suitable for people who likes to eat sour thing. It cost RM3.80 only.
This is the jelly fish. Very bouncy and nice. It taste a bit sour and spicy. Not bad indeed. I like it very much. =) It cost RM6.80. Oh yeah….expensive. But still nice. Teehee~!
Alright, let’s talk about the la mian. La mian is a kind of noodle that actually use their hand instead of machine to pull the flour and finally transform to one slice one slice of noodle. HAhaha..transform. I dont know a better word of it. -.-
With the handmade process, the noodle will be very bouncy and not sticky. But im not sure whether the noodles here is handmade or not.
Here is the braised beef la mian. Rate for this bowl of noodle is 10/10. Oh yeah..damn delicious i tell you. The soup is awesome because it’s full with the taste of cow beef, very condense. The noodle is bouncy enough and it mixed perfectly with the soup. I kinda miss it already. T_T
Went for shopping after that. Well, i got cash voucher for Topshop, of course i’ll use it before the expiry date. Bought a very nice consider-dress thing in Topshop with a discount of 50%. Huhu~ the price is worthy but most important thing is the quality is good enough. =) Didnt take a pic of it. So..wait till next time i wear it lah ! Ngek ngek ngekk~~
Here’s me of the day. I’ve tried to wear differently on that day. Dont know what’s wrong with me. Maybe my butt get itchy. xD Hewmeiteng said i wear like this very nice. Err..for me it’s weird. Hahaha~ and i think i wont wear like that anymore? Well, who knows.. people will change eventually. LOL~!
Went to Little Taiwan for a drink after walked for 1 to 2 hour. Hahaha~ we get tired easily. Not enough stamina perhaps. I remembered i walked a lot during my secondary school life. From school walk out to maluri bus stop, from pudu, walk to times square. Fulamakk..that time i dont feel tired at all. I even enjoyed with it very much. But now? From Connaught Old Town walk up to UCSI is already killing me. -.- Im not as strong as last time anymore. T__T
little snacks from little taiwan. not that nice jekk
tiramisu ice blended and my fav greentea milk tea
Walked a while more then we headed back. Back to our home sweet home. Rest a while and we had Bak Kut Teh as our dinner at Chow Kit.
This restaurant is located at the roadside. Not sure whether many people know about tis restaurant or not. But in my opinion, it’s really not bad. The rice taste very good and kinda special as it is mixed with the fried onion. Need not to say about the soup lah, if it’s not good then they can close their restaurant edi. xD
saw the rice with flies? it’s the fried onion la. xD
that’s the end of the day
