Chong Qing Hot Pot @ Kuchai Lama

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

Every time when you think of eating Bak Kut Teh, Klang will most probably always be the first choice that appear in your mind. True? There are a lot of compliments that i heard from my friends, or even my brother. Sad to say, i have not try the Bak K

ut Teh at

Klang yet, but im sure i will have the chance.

But here’s something new that i would like to recommend. Something like Bak Kut Teh but not exactly Bak Kut Teh. Owh..what am i talking about? Well, I guess many of you would have heard bout this before. Chong Qing Hot Pot. Yes, no? Or maybe Chicken Hot Pot would be much more familiar to you? Heh..

I guess it is quite a well-known place already

since it was recommended by my brother, Yatz. Haha..well, he had always been trying different kind of famous foods all around the world KL area what, so i guess this is one of it also lar. =)

my family and relatives

Although the name is Chicken Hot Pot, but dont misunderstood with the name. They not only served u with chicken, there’s other choices of meats like fish, pork and also ribs which known as Dinosaur Ribs there. LOL~ Personally, i had tried the dinosaur ribs and also the fish with my family. We ordered a small size and a medium size for each hot pot as they’re having promotion on it. You can choose either small, medium or large size.

the ribs on the left and the fish on the right side

They both taste good and spicy with a little dried up soup. Nothing much to comment on the meats. The ribs are okay, easy to chew while the fish are soft as well. You can choose to have little spicy, or average or super spicy. My brother said he tried the little spicy before and it made him sweat a lot. HAHAHAHA~ so we dare not try average spicy since he said till so scary. A little spicy is more than enough.

for steamboatboat

After you’re done with the so-called-Bak Kut Teh, you can add the soup, and continue second round with steamboat. You can take any kind of food that is available in the refrigerator. Choose for yourself, and steam it ! The speciality is on the soup, and also.. the maggie mee. They served maggie mee instead of mihun or yee mee that we usually had for steamboat.

But still, i did not tried the steamboat because we’re all full after eating the hot pots with rice. Never mind, i will go for second time, perhaps? xD

The total of what we’ve eat on that day was RM72.70. Im not sure whether it’s considered as expensive or not. But the waitress said there’s a promotion for both of what we had ordered. Err…i dont know bout it. I dont understand what the waitress talking about..and also the menu, all in chinese words. So what i can do

is just sit there, eat, and blah. LOL~!

For more information, i guess u can go to the website that shown above. And oh yeah, this Chicken Hot Pot not only in Kuchai Lama, i saw it at Pandan Indah also if im not mistaken. You guys can give it a try. =)
